in the previous post we discussed some very important key points on self esteem and how a healthy Self esteem can be developed.  _change of atmosphere.  _The right association.  _The right diet. in this post I'm going to be further discussing two other major points that can help you develop a better healthy self esteem. _ Faith in yourself and also _ keeping a track record of progress and success.  1. Faith in yourself There are so many people that are so gifted, they have Great potential and talent, but some of these people don't really achieve much because they fail to recognize their ability and they don't believe in themselves.  No matter how gifted an individual is, if he/ she fails to recognize it and believe in themselves they may not achieve so much. No matter who you are and what you do you have to believe in yourself. The best of every student can be seen when they believe in themselves and put in good effort to make sure they do better....

3. Personal hygiene
4. Communication skills.
5. Love and value
6. study skills and learning attitude
7.Reading habits
8. Goal setting and goal getting.

in this post am going to be focusing mainly on how an individual can build a healthy self esteem.

1. Self Esteem
You may be a parent, teacher or a student reading this post, what you are about to learn is very important to improving your productivity and personal growth.
A healthy self esteem has to do with the perception of oneself, it has to do with the mindset of an individual towards his/herself.

A healthy self esteem is very important,  the thinking pattern and the belief system of an individual determines the persons behavior, attitude and also productivity. Many people suffer from low self esteem because they do not see much in themselves and they also don't believe in themselves. They think little, intimidated by their environment and by other People.
This is one aspect that can be developed. I believe that the best of every individual and every student can be expressed if they have a healthy self esteem ( a good perception of themselves free from fear, doubt and timidity). Research shows that alot of students who perform very poorly in schools suffer from low self esteem.

How can a healthy self esteem be developed.

1. Change of atmosphere
Now when am talking about atmosphere am actually referring to the physical environment of an individual and the things that influence that environment. The physical environment in which an individual grows in and lives in has a strong psychological effect on his mind.

I have learnt that The cognitive, affective and even psychomotor development of children from age two to five is greatly affected by their social, emotional, economic, and physical environment. Sometimes the environment may not be the best. It could be poor and full of uncertainties, fear, anxiety, pain and can make a child believe that he or she is a failure and stands no chance to become anyone or anything. Most children are victims of this, they indirectly listen to the voice of their environment and believe that they are small and less than everyone else.

A healthy self esteem can be developed by a change of environment. A new environment gives children a sense of excitement, and exposure to new experience gives them hope and big dreams for their lives. It makes them see things people and places differently and even themselves.

Fiyona is a girl from Uganda who travelled the world playing a game she loved "chess" she was from one of the poorest environment and everything surrounding her life made her think she could never amount to anything. With no Education or finance, but with an extraordinary gift, a mentor and a change of environment she was able to rise and become the champion she always was. She soared great heights and accomplished things many would have thought impossible because she built confidence and a healthy self esteem. This changed her life, her family, her town and the narrative of the world. She became the "Queen of Qatwe". A better self esteem can be built, and it is a major key to success.

2. The right association
The lives of individuals are greatly influenced by other people. Associations are extremely powerful. It can shape and also destroy the lives of people.

The associations of people affects their self esteem and even growth and development positively and negatively.
children perform better and build a better self esteem in an atmosphere of love, encouragement and acceptance from the people closet to the them. Their parents, siblings, friends, teachers/tutors and other people.
A healthy self esteem can be developed when individuals surround themselves with the right company. "Iorn sharpenth Iorn." The freinds we have play the role of shaping who we will become consciously or unconsciously. Many high school kids today are timid and easily intimidated because of the wrong association, some of them try to gain the acceptance of their peers, the acceptance of wrong company that don't value and disregard them.

In the world today many kids are being bullied in school and the hate it because it makes them feel sad helpless and less of themselves. Every child should be in climate of good people that value them and bring out the best in them so they'll do much more better, rather than stay with wrong association that can only tear them down.

3. The right diet.
what I mean by the right diet is, the things that people feed on psychologically. The mind of human beings is really creative and powerful. The gate to our mind is our eyes and ears, these two senses registers information in our brains. The way people feed psychologically is by the things they watch, the things they read, the things they listen to. This is what shapes and modifies the thought pattern of people.

how does this relates to self esteem? you may ask.
well you need to know that either a low or a high self esteem it is dependent upon the thought pattern of people. What they think of themselves and what they think of others. if you feed your mind with the diet (knowledge), you can develop a better self esteem. To do this you have to discipline yourself to only feed your heart and mind with the right content, content that is not demeaning or discouraging but uplifting and inspiring.
In the next post titled Self esteem; key to Educational growth and Development part 2, I'm going to be further discussing on two other major points that can help you develop a better healthy self esteem.

_  faith in yourself and also
_ keeping a track record of progress and success.
